I suppose something like this could only happen in Switzerland.
Yesterday a security van was driving along the A1 motorway towards Bern when he inadvertently touched one of the side planks. The rear doors flew open and part of his load landed on the road.
Coins and gold bars each weighing a hundred gramme were strewn along the stretch for more than a couple of hundred meters.
Another motorist alarmed the police and ten men from a motorway repairs group armed with shovels and brooms spent three hours clearing it all up.
The police presumed everything was given back to the transport firm. By a further search in daylight nothing more was to be found.
According to their rapports nobody on the scene tried to profit by the mishap!
